Asylum seekers in the UK are denied access to cash support and forced to use the Azure Card, a no-cash card which often does not work and can only be used in a few supermarkets. Join the campaign to change the current Azure card system.

As part of the Emergency Budget, the Government announced major changes to Housing Benefit. These changes will have a detrimental effect on refugees, leading to more poverty and educed opportunities for accessing suitable housing, employment, education and to becoming active members of Scottish society. Still Human Still Here is a coalition of more than 40 organisations that are campaigning to end the destitution of thousands of refused asylum seekers in the UK. The coalition believes that the current policy is inhumane and ineffective and is urging the Government to allow asylum seekers the right to work; they are also calling for improved support, access to healthcare and decision making for people seeking sanctuary in the UK.
