Many people like to actively support us through fundraising. Each year hundreds of people throughout Scotland take part in or organise events to raise funds. Fundraising for us can be a fun and active way to support refugees and asylum seekers living in Scotland.
Our administration and overhead costs are funded by the Big Lottery Fund and other trust funders, so every £1 you donate goes directly to supporting asylum seekers and refugees.
There are many different ways you can help and participate:
Sponsored Events
Why don't you organise your own sponsored event? If you are feeling active you could run join in an organised run, such as the Edinburgh Marathon or Glasgow Half Marathon. Alternatively you could challenge your nerve - perhaps try a sponsored beard shave (or grow!) or hair-dye. RST can provide online and paper sponsorship forms and fundraising advice. For more information, please email us or call 0131 554 6776.
Your own personal event
We are here to support you in fundraising for the Refugee Survival Trust. So if you would like to organise your own event, such as a ceilidh, jumble sale or dinner dance, please email us or call 0131 554 6776.
Challenge Yourself
Why not do something you have always dreamed of and help a good cause at the same time? We are looking for people from all over the country to make a sponsored parachute jump on our behalf and in return we are willing to pay for it! All the information you need is here we've made everything as easy as possible for you to take part.
There are three different types of parachute jump for you to choose from and you can jump from an airfield near you. We ask you to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship money in order for you to jump for free and in turn we will receive an average donation of £140. In addition to this, every extra pound that you raise over the minimum comes straight to the Trust, so please try to raise as much as you possibly can!
Email us to request an information pack or you can give us a call now on 0131 554 6776 and we'll send you one in the post.
