RST T-Shirt Design Competition! 15 March – 15 June 2015

T-Shirt Competition – Poster 2015

Back in May 2014, an RST volunteer had the idea of launching a T-shirt design competition to help raise awareness of asylum matters in Scotland. Now, with the help of the Scottish Fair Trade Forum, we have turned that idea into a reality.

The objectives of the competition are modest yet commendable. They include increasing the visibility of RST and providing an interactive platform for the public to engage in the work of the charity.
You are all encouraged to participate in this fantastic opportunity and design a T-shirt which expresses the theme of ‘Supporting Refugee Survival‘. Here are some buzzwords to help get your creative energy flowing: assistance, asylum, cooperation, fairness, justice, need, opportunity, partnership, respect, sanctuary, seek, support, survival, wellbeing.

As well as winning a T-shirt with their design on it, the winner will receive a Fair Trade prize, which will be announced soon. If that wasn’t exciting enough, a member of the judging panel is Derek Green of gawr-juhs visual communication and design specialists. Winning would therefore be a great addition to the CV of a budding designer!
On behalf of RST, I would like to say a big thank you to all of those supporters who have helped us with, or plan to contribute to, this competition. Your participation is a huge help in the development of our work.

We are really looking forward to seeing your entries, and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions (see our webpage for contact info).

Time to get designing!
